How to write a short story # 1

Unknown | Senin, Februari 18, 2013 | |
"How do I write a short story?", Asked my friend. For a moment I was confused as to how to answer the question that is actually fairly easy.  Suddenly appeared in my head of a term of the right brain and left brain. I was asked back. "You want to make by way of the right brain or left brain? '. "what do you Mean?", Reply him confused. "Right brain is a brain that functions inversely with the left brain that is trace, systematic, and scalable. So, if you make the right brain the way you make it like a flowing stream. Without the concept, without the mind map or even without knowing what kind of storyline. You let your mind imagine the same time as you write your stories, you're like a novel or short story readers who do not know the end of a story. ""Oh", he replied lightly, and thinking about what I say.

In so confused with the above fragment of conversation? Hehe. Ok, now we come to the method of writing a short story in the form of bullet points. (probably like it more easy ya?)

Back on two aspects that have been outlined above. The method of writing a short story I will share two methods, the first is the method of writing in the style of the left brain and the second is the method of writing in the style of the right brain.

Method of writing in the style of the left brain

According to http://www.bpkpenabur.or.id function of the left brain or the left hemisphere of the human brain is the conscious mind (consciousness mind), reasoning, linguistic or think in words, analyzing, thinking trace, etc.. So the method of writing in the style of the left brain can be formulated as follows:

1. Make a mind map or concept of short stories to be created. An accomplished short story writer or novelist namely Ahmad Fauzi (author Affairs Five towers) or Andrea Hirata (author of Warriors of the rainbow) usually make a simple pattern of the stories to be made

2. Creating characters. Character in a story is an important aspect because the figures would lead story on conflict, conflict resolution and the end of a story.

3. Creating background. Background in the story, like colors on a painting. He is the creative power of the reader to determine related story. Background created by a writer to be strong and real impressed not impressed too much though. (background is a time, place and atmosphere)

4. Determining flow. The flow is divided into 3 types. First, the plot forward. Forward is a storytelling groove occurring trace from beginning to end. For example, the story begins when i wake up and ends when asleep. Second is the backward flow of storytelling happens in reverse or commonly known as flash back. For example, the story begins when the character is writing a diary and one by one incident that occurred before the characters in the story told to write a diary on it while setting a fixed time of writing diary. Third, flow forth or combined. The flow is most often used in the literature, because the flow is considered to be the most realistic and imaginative. For example, figure goes to school during the journey the characters recall events that occurred on the day yesterday, when leaders meet idol of the heart. Genesis was written or narrated by the author clearly as when the author tells leaders to go to school. And secondly it is narrated in turns. The third path is the path that most of the authors are quite difficult to use while drawing the reader feels more real feel. In terms of the third groove is recommended workflow when creating a story. Although depending on the story as well, for whom the story is made.

5. Started to write. The fifth point is the main point of the four points above. Why? Because if you have made a good concept but not implemented / applied into a story (short story or novel) then your concept will be in vain
